Horry County, SC : One person killed and three people injured after two-car crash in Horry County Monday night May 9th, 2016

A man was killed Monday night after a car crash on S.C. 31., and three others were taken to a local hospital after a two-car crash.
The crash happened about 9:50 p.m. on S.C. 31 North just south of Robert Grissom Parkway. One person was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center where he died at 11:08 p.m., according to Tamara Willard, deputy coroner with Horry County.
A 2003 Chevrolet pulling a trailer, and traveling north, pulled over near on S.C. 31 near the Robert Grissom Parkway exit to check on the trailer. The truck was then struck in the rear by the driver of a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, and the Tahoe went down embankment, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol officials.
The driver of the Tahoe, who was wearing his seatbelt during the crash, was killed, and his name will be released by the Horry County Coroner’s Office once family has been notified, authorities said.
Three people traveling in the 2003 pickup truck were taken to a local hospital, SCHP officials said.
The SCHP and the SCHP MAIT team is still investigating this crash.
