DRACUT, MA : Lawrence woman charged in Dracut crash that injured 4 on Wednesday, 29th August 2018

A Lawrence woman will face charges in a Wednesday afternoon four-car accident police say she caused by driving in a negligent and reckless manner.

The Route 110 crash sent four people to hospitals, one with serious injuries.

Rosmy Brito, 23, is charged with a marked lanes violation, speeding, passing in violation of pavement markings and operating to endanger. Police also applied for an immediate threat license suspension through the state Registry of Motor Vehicles, Deputy Police Chief David Chartrand said in a statement on Friday.

According to police, Brito was driving a 2003 red Ford Escape westbound in the area of 248 Merrimack Ave. about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Brito was allegedly attempting to pass multiple vehicles on the left side, weaving in and out of traffic and traveling at a high rate of speed, police said.
