Mayville, NY : Michigan man ticketed for non-injury crash with school bus on Thursday, October 30, 2014
A 22-year-old man from the Detroit suburb of Melvindale, Mich., was ticketed by Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies after he allegedly caused a non-injury crash with a school bus carrying several children on Route 20 in the Town of Ripley about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Ahmed Sharif had reportedly pulled over to the side of the road moving west on Route 20. He then tried to make a U-turn unaware that a westbound school bus was coming from behind him and the two vehicles crashed. Sharif was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way when entering a roadway. He faces proceedings in Ripley Town Court in several weeks.
