Eugene,OR : Two injured in double truck crash near Goshen on April, Wednesday 4th 2018

Two people were taken to the hospital Wednesday morning with serious injuries from a head-on traffic crash south of Eugene, near Goshen.

The crash occurred at 8:20 a.m. on Highway 99 South and Dillard Access Road. A Lane Forest Products dump truck collided with a pickup truck at the intersection, according to Oregon State Police.

Police said the driver of the dump truck, Louis Williams, 60, of Springfield, made an unsafe left turn when the crash occurred. No citation had been issued as of Wednesday afternoon.

The driver of the pickup, Clinton Springer, 39, of Creswell, had to be extricated from his vehicle, according to the Pleasant-Hill Goshen Fire Districts.
