Las Vegas, NV : 41-year-old man died in motorcycle crash on Russell Road on Monday night, July 6, 2015

A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed Monday night when the Harley Davidson he was riding collided with a car making at left turn at an intersection in the west valley, Metro Police said.

The motorcycle was headed east on Russell Road about 10:50 p.m. when it collided with a Dodge Stratus that was making a left turn from westbound Russell onto Fort Apache Road, police said.

The motorcyclist, a Las Vegas resident, was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries and was subsequently pronounced dead, police said. His name has not been released, pending notification of his family.

The driver of the car, a 43-year-old Las Vegas woman, suffered minor injuries, police said.

The wreck remains under investigation, police said.
