Drivers of two vehicles were transported to the hospital following a head-on collision on East Main Street on Sunday evening.
Tyree McKinnon, 37, of Williamstown, was allegedly driving east on East Main Street in a Nissan Altima when he crossed into the oncoming lane and struck an oncoming Michael Pitt Jr., who was driving a Subaru.
The accident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. in the area of 571 East Main Street, near the intersection with Murray Street.
Pitt, of North Adams, and McKinnon were both transported to the hospital for injuries, the extent of which were not immediately available, according to North Adams Police Sgt. James Burdick. One was taken to Berkshire Medical Center's North Adams campus and the other was taken to Berkshire Medical Center's main campus in Pittsfield, though the police report did not specify which patient was taken to which campus.
McKinnon is expected to be cited in the accident, according to Burdick. The roads were not believed to be icy.
First responders were on the scene for more than hour before the road was completely cleared, as the city's Department of Public Works and Fire Department worked to clear fluids left on the roadway due to the crash.
North Adams Police, North Adams Ambulance, and the North Adams Fire Department responded to the accident.
