Milwaukee, WI : 29-year-old India Walker killed in a two-car-crash on Milwaukee's northwest side on Friday, April 17, 2015
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a 29-year-old woman killed in a crash involving two vehicles that occurred late on Friday, April 17th.
It happened near 107th and Fond du Lac Avenue.
Officials say shortly before 10 p.m., a car was traveling southbound on 107th Street. At one point, it crossed into the northbound lane and collided with another vehicle head-on.
The 29-year-old woman from Milwaukee who was driving the first car died at the scene from her injuries. Officials say she was not wearing her seat belt.
The Medical Examiner’s Office identifies her as India Walker.
Walker was found to be trapped under the dash on the driver’s side of her vehicle. She was extricated.
Walker was pronounced dead just after 1:00 a.m. due to multiple blunt force injuries. Her vehicle was observed to have suffered major front end damage.
Four people from the vehicle that was struck were taken to the hospital. They include the driver, a 25-year-old man, his wife, a 25-year-old woman, and their two young daughters — ages 2 1/2 and four months. Both children were in car seats. The four-month-old was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The Medical Examiner’s report says speed was not a factor in this crash.
