Bruce,WI : Bruce man injured after semi crashes into Iron River home on January, Thursday 4th 2018

A 46-year-old man from Bruce was injured Thursday when the semitrailer truck he was driving struck a residence in Iron River.

According to information released by the Wisconsin State Patrol:

The semi, driven by Jason E. Murray, was westbound on U.S. 2 in Iron River when it crossed the eastbound lane, drifted off the road and struck a residence at 8165 U.S. 2.

Murray had to be extricated from the semi, but he appeared to have suffered only non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, Minn.

One person was present at the home at the time of the crash, but the individual was in one of the back rooms and wasn’t injured.

Murray was cited for operating left of center, and the crash remains under investigation.
