MADISON, WI : Cash bond set for suspect in deadly Beltline hit-and-run on Monday, 5th February 2024

Cash bond was set Monday for the man identified as a suspect in a deadly hit-and-run on the Beltline.

Jules Tougna Tamen, 59, appeared in Dane County court for his initial appearance, where a court commissioner set his bond at $10,000.

Tougna Tamen would have several conditions to follow if he posted bond, including not being allowed to drive a vehicle, surrendering his passport, and not leaving Dane County without court approval.

Tougna Tamen will appear in court again on Feb. 14 for a preliminary hearing.
