Seattle,WA : Racing cars cause crash on I-5; teen ejected onto freeway on October, Thursday 26th 2017
Two racing cars on Interstate 5 sped away from the scene overnight after causing a serious crash that ejected a teenager from a third car, the Washington State Patrol reports.
The incident unfolded at about 10:10 p.m. Thursday in the northbound lanes of I-5 at 75th Street, north of Green Lake.
Troopers and medics responded after receiving reports of a serious hit-and-run crash with one person ejected from a car onto the pavement.
A totaled BMW was found at the scene. One of the passengers, a teen who was riding in the back seat, was thrown from the car by the force of the impact from the crash. He suffered a broken leg and possible broken arm, but is expected to survive.
One other teen passenger in the BMW was also injured. The driver of the BMW and a third passenger were uninjured. A fourth passenger left the scene.
