Troopers with the State Highway Patrol are searching for a car after it reportedly hit a man in Castle Hayne early Monday and drove away.
The man said he was hit while walking down Highway 133 in Castle Hayne on his way to mother’s house around 2:40 a.m., according to Trooper Morgan.
Morgan said troopers are on the lookout for a blue four-door passenger vehicle and are trying to determine the exact location of the crash by searching the roadway for debris.
The alleged victim, from New York, walked to the Castle Hayne Fire Department with a dislocated shoulder. He said he is in town to visit his mother for Mother’s Day.
