Oneonta, AL : Motorist killed in fiery Blount County crash on Thursday night, April 21, 2016

One person was killed Thursday night in a single-vehicle fiery crash in Blount County.

Alabama State Troopers today said the victim's name is not yet being released. The crash happened at 7:24 p.m.

Troopers said the motorist was driving a 1994 Ford pickup truck, left the roadway, struck a utility pole and overturned before catching on fire. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene.

The crash happened on Blount County 25, about 15 miles north of Blountsville.
