Fairfield,CA : Early morning collision snarls traffic on Air Base Parkway on December, Saturday 2nd 2017

An early morning collision on Air Base Parkway resulted in several hours of impassable road for early morning commuters.

Police responded to a collision at Air Base Parkway between North Texas Street and Heath Street at about 2:45 a.m. The incident closed the road in both directions, according to a police press release.

Drivers were asked to take a different route until the scene could be cleared.

The westbound lanes of Air Base Parkway were opened for travel at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, but the eastbound lanes remained closed at Heath Street until later.
