LAKEWOOD, WA : Driver dies after crash on I-5 in Lakewood on Friday, 5th March 2021

A 44-year-old driver is dead after crashing into a transit bus on southbound I-5 Friday night in Lakewood.

Troopers said a vehicle was going at a high rate of speed when it struck the rear of a bus traveling 60 mph.

When first responders arrived at the scene, I-5 at 96th Street, they found an unconscious driver who was taken to Madigan Army Medical Center where the driver later died.
