Caldwell County, TX : Two women were dead and ten others were injured when SUV rolled over after the driver lost control on Hwy 130 on Saturday August 2nd 2014

Two women were killed and 10 others were injured this weekend when their sport utility vehicle crashed in Caldwell County on a stretch of highway with the highest speed limit in the nation. All of the victims are from Dallas. The Texas Department of Public Safety said no one in the SUV was wearing a seat belt when it went out of control shortly before noon Saturday and rolled over on Highway 130 near FM 1183, about 3 miles north of Lockhart. The impact ejected eight people from the vehicle; four others were trapped in the wreckage. The 10 survivors — including five children — remained hospitalized Sunday night. Officials said a tire blowout caused the 2007 GMC Yukon to crash and roll several times. Veronica Razo, 31, and 27-year-old Sonja Ramirez died at the scene. The two were sisters. Paramedics took the five children to Dell Children's Medical Center, and five adults to UMC Brackenridge, all in critical condition. Some of their conditions have improved since Saturday. Their names were not available. That section of Highway 130 opened in 2012. The 41-mile stretch has the fastest speed limit in the nation at 85 miles per hour.
