Jamestown, ND : Motorcyclist dies in Mandan crash on Saturday, 3rd September 2016

A 53-year-old Bismarck man died early Saturday in a motorcycle accident in Morton County. according to North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at around 2:40 a.m. when the rider of a 1991 Honda CBR 1000 motorcycle traveling westbound failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and struck a curb near Twin City Drive and Eastside Court in Mandan, N.D. The vehicle overturned and traveled across Eastside Court where it struck another curb.

The driver was thrown from the motorcycle and came to rest in a ditch between Eastside Court and Main Street. The driver was transported by Metro Ambulance Service to CHI St. Alexius Health where he was pronounced dead.

This crash remains under investigation. Mandan Police Department also responded to the scene.
