Belle Creek Township, MN : Wisconsin man dies in Goodhue County accident on Sunday night, July 13, 2014

A Wisconsin man was killed Sunday night when he lost control of the car he was driving and it rolled, officials said today.

Brandon Angell, 20, of Baldwin, Wis., was westbound at about 11:15 p.m. Sunday on Goodhue County Road 1 near the intersection of Goodhue County Road 8 in Belle Creek Township when he lost control on a sharp curve.

The car skidded off the road on the south side, went over a culvert and entered a cornfield, where it rolled several times, the report says.

Angell, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities believe speed was a factor; witnesses reported hearing a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed just before hearing the crash.

The Goodhue County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by Cannon Falls Fire and Rescue, in addition to Goodhue First Responders.
