COOKEVILLE, TN : Victim of Cookeville hit-and-run crash has died on Thursday, 22nd September 2016

A pedestrian injured a hit-and-run crash last week in Cookeville has died.

Police said Samuel Florea, 26, was found lying on the side of 10th Street just east of Washington Avenue last Wednesday night.

Florea died from his injuries on Thursday.

Cookeville police is asking for help in determining what happened prior to the crash.

Police are also attempted to locate a vehicle that was seen traveling east on 10th Street from where Florea was found. The vehicle is described as a dark colored SUV which may have had minor damage to the front bumper/hood area of the driver’s side door mirror.
