MESA, AZ : 1 dead in single-car crash on freeway in Mesa area on Monday, 10th December 2018

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal crash on a freeway in the Mesa area.

Authorities say the incident happened shortly after 6 a.m. Monday on State Route 87 near Center Street in the southbound lanes.

DPS officials say one person was killed.

It appears only one vehicle was involved.
