Four people were injured when a car and a minivan collided at township intersection, police said.
At 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, police got a call about a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Parker Road and Old Farmers Road.
Officers arrived at the scene along with the member of the Fairmount Fire Co. and found a two car crash with two juveniles trapped in a 2006 Pontiac Vibe, police said.
Both juveniles were freed from the car by members of the Long Valley Rescue Squad and the Fairmount Fire Co.
The juveniles along with the driver of the Pontiac and the second driver were all transported to the Hackettstown Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of injuries.
The subsequent investigation determined that the driver of the Pontiac, Sharon Smith, 60, of Lakewood, was traveling south on Old Farmers Road and failed to stop and yield at the intersection of Parker Road, police said.
The second vehicle, a Chrysler Town and Country minivan was unable to swerve and struck the Pontiac on the passenger’s side, police said.
Smith was issued a summons for failure to yield right of way.
