WICHITA, KS : 20-year-old killed in Ford Co. crash on Saturday, 9th December 2023

The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) confirmed a 20-year-old man is dead after a crash in Ford County Saturday.

KHP said around 11:30 a.m., 20-year-old Aaron Contreras was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe north on highway 56 near the area of Lariat Way when, for an unknown reason, crossed the center line and struck a Kenworth semi truck.

Contreras was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The driver of the semi was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
