A 69-year-old woman on a bicycle was hit and killed by a car in Altamonte Springs Thursday afternoon, Altamonte Springs police said.
The crash happened on North State Road 434 near Bruster’s Ice Cream.
Police said the woman borrowed her grandchild’s bike and was on her way to get a set of keys. She was heading in a direction from behind the ice cream shop.
State Road 434 southbound was closed at Sand Lake Road as police investigated, but has since reopened.
The victim’s name has not been released.
