GRISWOLD, CT : I-395 reopens after tractor-trailer crash closes highway in both directions on Wednesday, 27th December 2023

A Wednesday morning crash forced I-395 to be shut down in both directions for several hours.

Fire crews said that the left lane in both directions remains closed to traffic.

Initially, the highway was closed between Exit 24 in Griswold and Exit 28 in Plainfield starting around 4 a.m.

The debris-covered both sides of the roadway, making it impassable. The involved vehicle has been removed.
