Pedestrian killed in Highway 49 accident in Florence Mississippi

A woman was killed on Highway 49 in Florence Wednesday night. Deputy Coroner Clifton Dunlap says Barbara Ellen Smith, of Florence, was having car trouble and pulled over to the side of the road across from Jerry's Fish House.Dunlap says Smith was walking along the highway when she was struck by a car. Florence police say the incident is under investigation.
