Minot, ME : 19-year-old from Lewiston dies after Minot crash on Sunday, December 7, 2014

A 19-year-old man was killed Sunday in a two-car crash, Maine State Police spokesman Steve McCausland said. Police identified the victim as Marcus Bennett. McCausland said Bennett had recently moved to Lewiston but had lived in Norway, Maine. Investigators believe Bennett lost control of his car and slid into another car around 9:45 a.m. on Center Minot Hill Road. He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center where he later died. The driver of the other car and a passenger were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Police believe speed and icy road conditions were factors in the crash.
