Geary County, KS : 3 dead in Geary County crash on I-70 on Wednesday, 27th March 2019

Three people died in a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning on Interstate 70 near the Kansas Highway 177 junction, about 9 miles south of Manhattan.

The Kansas Highway Patrol responded to the incident at 5:30 a.m.

Officials said the vehicle was heading east on I-70 when it left the road and came to rest under the overpass near K-177.Officials did not say why the vehicle left the road.

Authorities have not released identifying information about the victims and continue to investigate the cause.

The Kansas Highway Patrol didn’t immediately respond to calls for comment.

Officials closed the northbound lane of K-177 to traffic as a tow truck removed the vehicle.
