Fort Myers, FL : Motorcyclist dies in a multi-vehicle accident in Lee County on Saturday, April 16, 2016

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle accident that left one motorcyclist dead and his passenger in serious condition in Lee County.

The crash occurred at the intersection of McGregor Boulevard and Gladiolus Drive at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Terry E. Meeks, 60, of North Fort Myers died in the crash. His passenger, 49-year-old Lorena Marie Fillmore, of North Fort Myers, remains in serious condition.

According to the FHP, Meeks' Harley Davidson struck a Ford Taurus in the intersection. The Ford Taurus then struck a third vehicle.

The motorcyclist and his passenger were ejected in the crash and transported to Lee Memorial Hospital where the motorcyclist died.

No one else was injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
