A Six Mile man died from blunt force trauma suffered in a vehicle wreck, the Pickens County Coroner's Office said Monday night.
Coroner Kandy Kelley identified Jan Zwolinski, 62, as the decedent in the wreck. He was traveling east on Gap Hill Road near Walhalla Highway when his SUV went off the left side of the roadway, struck a utility pole and overturned about 7 p.m. Monday, the Highway Patrol said.
Zwolinski, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. No passengers were in the SUV and no other vehicles were involved, Lance Cpl. Gary Miller said.
The wreck happened about three miles from Zwolinski's home.
