MIDDLETOWN, OH : 3 hospitalized after chase ends in crash in Middletown on Tuesday, 4th June 2019
Three people were hospitalized after a police chase ended in a crash Wednesday in Middletown.
The chase began when an Ohio State Trooper pulled a car over that appeared to be stolen. When the trooper approached the car, the driver fled.The trooper pursued the driver until he crashed into another car.
The driver was identified as a 17-year-old male from Sidney, Ohio. The stolen car was a silver 2004 Toyota Camry entered as stolen by the Sidney Police Department.
The driver sustained serious injuries from the crash and was transported to the Atrium Medical Center.
The car that was struck was a 2013 black Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Courtney Tanner, 33. Tanner and a passenger, Anthony Hurrigan, 31, were also taken to Atrium Medical Center. Tanner is in stable condition and Hurrigan sustained minor injuries and is expected to be released.
