South Bend, IN : 32 year-old woman died Wednesday morning after her car collided with a semi-truck on September 17th 2014

Dora Bonilla, 32 of South Bend, died Wednesday morning after her car collided with a semi-truck on Indiana 2. Police said Bonilla was driving south on Quince Road about 8:10 a.m. when she tried to turn left on eastbound Indiana 2. The semi, which was going west on Indiana 2, struck the car on the driver's side. Bonilla was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency workers removed her from the car. Her name was previously being withheld pending notification of her family, but the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office released the name Wednesday evening. The driver of the semi was unhurt. Traffic was restricted for several hours while crews investigated the scene. The St. Joseph County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team is investigating the crash, as it routinely does when a death occurs.
