Fort Lupton, CO : Cyclist dies after collision with truck on the Weld County Road 18 bridge on Friday, May 20, 2016

Authorities are investigating the death of a 59-year-old Fort Lupton man who was struck by an 18-wheeler while riding his bike near Fort Lupton.

The crash occurred about 7:30 a.m. Friday when Jose De Jesus Delgado-Anguiano was riding his bike on the Weld County Road 18 bridge that crosses the South Platte River, just west of U.S. Highway 85. Delgado-Anguiano was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a press release from the Weld County Coroner's Office.

An autopsy has been scheduled, the release said. The name of the truck driver and details of how the crash occurred haven't yet been released.
