MIRAMAR, FL : A motorcyclist died in a crash on Miramar Parkway near Island Drive on Wednesday, October, 25th 2017

A motorcyclist died Wednesday night in a crash on Miramar Parkway near Island Drive, police said.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, Miramar police said. The driver of the car stayed at the scene after the crash and is cooperating with police.

One of the occupants of the car was taken to an area hospital as a precaution.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area as police investigate.
