Fayette, OH : 35-year-old man dead following a crash in Fulton County on Wednesday morning, Aug 19, 2015
A 35-year-old man is dead following a crash Wednesday morning in Fulton County, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened on US-20 (Central Avenue) at County Road 23 near Fayette, just north of Wauseon.
Two cars, a Honda and a Chevy Malibu, were involved in the crash. Police say the driver of the Honda was heading south on County Road 23 and ran a stop sign.
The driver of the Honda has a broken arm, but was still taken to a hospital in an air ambulance. The age of that driver is unknown.
The driver of the Malibu died on scene. Officers with the State Highway Patrol say he had the right of way and slammed into the Honda.
Crews are currently working to extricate the man who died from his vehicle.
US-20 is closed while crews remain on the scene. Police say it could last until 9 a.m. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use SR-66 and SR-108 as detours.
