Major County, OK : 2 injured in Major Co. collision on Saturday, 22nd June 2019
Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision after a driver in a wheat truck failed to yield Saturday afternoon in Major County.
At about 4:25 p.m., Dennis Howard Ring, 71, of Cleo Springs, was eastbound on U.S. 412 about 1 mile south and 2 miles east of Cleo Springs in a 1964 International wheat truck when he made a left turn and failed to yield, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report. Ring struck a 1998 Honda Accord driven by Sherri Renee Nault, 50, of Fairview, who was westbound on 412.
Both vehicles came to rest at the intersection, according to OHP. Ring was treated and released at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital in Enid. Nault was pinned for about 20 minutes until she was extricated by Ringwood Fire Department. She was transported to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid, then transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where she was admitted in stable condition with head, trunk-external, trunk-internal, arms and leg injuries.
