Claremore, OK : Katelyn Monroe, 24, died in wreck near Tulsa on Wednesday evening, March 29, 2017

A Claremore woman died in a crash Wednesday evening, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Katelyn Monroe, 24, died at the scene, troopers said.

About 5:30 p.m., Monroe was driving east on State Highway 266, a mile west of State Highway 167 and 2 miles east of Tulsa in Rogers County, when her sport utility vehicle went left of center and collided with a tractor-trailer driven by John Moats, 48, of Haskell.

Moats was taken to a Tulsa hospital where he was admitted in serious condition.

Moats was not wearing a seat belt. Monroe was wearing a seat belt.
