Tallahassee, FL : Palm Bay man, 70, killed in Osceola County crash on Friday, January 27th 2017

A Palm Bay man was killed when a single-car crashed in near Harmony High School in Osceola County Friday morning, a Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.

The crash happened at about 10:10 a.m. at East Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, also known as U.S. 192, east of Arthur J. Gallagher Boulevard.Charles Baker, 70, was driving west on Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, Sgt. Kim Montes said.

He lost control of the Subaru, crossed the eastbound lanes and crashed into a ditch, Montes said.

The car flipped and Baker, who was not wearing a seat-belt, was thrown out, Montes said.

Troopers are investigating what caused the crash. They do not know why Baker lost control of the car, Montes said.
