Lake Success, NY : 19-year-old woman killed when vehicle strikes tree on Long Island on Monday, April 20, 2015

Police say a 19-year-old woman was killed when her vehicle struck a tree on Long Island.

Nassau County police say the woman was driving on the south service road of the Long Island Expressway in Lake Success when she lost control and hit the tree. It happened around 7:30 p.m. Monday.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers.
