ROSCOE, IL : Rockford woman ID’d in fatal Roscoe crash on Sunday, 13th May 2018

The woman who died in a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon near the intersection of North Main Street and Roscoe Road has been identified as 39-year-old Barbara Whitescarver, 39, of Rockford.

Whitescarver died from blunt trauma of the head and neck as a result of the crash, according to the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office. She was traveling north on Main Street when she left the roadway and hit a tree. She was the only person in the vehicle.

Whitescarver was taken via helicopter to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
