CANADICE, NY : Two dead in Canadice car crash on Saturday, February 11th 2017

Two people died Saturday night in a one-car crash on County Road 37.

Ontario County sheriff’s deputies said the accident happened about 8:45 p.m. when a vehicle driven by Richard J. Cansdale, 32, of Lima, Livingston County, went off the road and hit a tree. The vehicle ended up on its side.

Cansdale and his passenger, Amberjo Rader, 28, of Dansville, were pronounced dead at the scene.

A portion of County Road 37 was closed to traffic for several hours.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.

The Honeoye/Richmond Fire Department and Ambulance corps, fire departments from Bristol, Springwater and Hemlock, and Livonia Medic 74 assisted at the scene.
