Three people including a baby were killed Saturday when two cars collided at an intersection in Levy County, reported the Florida Highway Patrol.

Killed were Aida V. Archilla, 63, of Dunnellon, and Thelma Lou Estes, 86, of Freedom, Ind., from one car. Killed in the second vehicle was Mckinzi Lissimore, age 8 months, from Williston, according to an FHP press release.

The accident happened at 11:40 a.m. on U.S. 41 and State Road 121.

Archilla was driving a 2005 Suzuki Forenza north on U.S. 41 while Rico Lissimore, 22, of Williston, was driving a 2005 Toyota Sequoia east on SR 121. FHP reported that both vehicles entered the intersection, which has a traffic signal, at the same time and collided.

FHP reported that four other juvenile passengers were in Lissimore's SUV. FHP was verifying that all families have been notified, but FHP did not include information about their conditions.

FHP is investigating who had the right of way at the intersection and charges are pending, the report states.
