Fort Lauderdale, FL : Plantation motorcyclist in serious condition after crash on Wednesday, August 3, 2016

A Plantation motorcyclist is in the hospital with serious injuries after being thrown off his bike during a crash, the Plantation Fire Department said.

The unidentified motorcyclist rear-ended a four-door sedan in the 6500 block of West Sunrise Boulevard around 7 p.m. Wednesday. He was wearing a helmet. He was taken to Broward Health Medical Center.

Neither of the two people in the sedan was hurt, Plantation Fire Department spokeswoman Robin Russell said.
