Chocolay Township , MI : no one injured after drunk driver crashed into the left rear corner of polic vehicle during pursuit on Friday ,March 20th 2015

A trooper from the Michigan State Police Negaunee Post was sitting in his patrol car late Friday night during a traffic stop on M-28 near Kawbawgam Road in Chocolay Township when a drunk driver crashed into the left rear corner of his vehicle.

Both vehicles were damaged, but no one was injured. The drunk driver was arrested at the scene and lodged in the Marquette County Jail.

The suspect's name will not be released unitl after their arraignment in the 96th District Court of Marquette later this week.

The Chocolay Township Police Department assisted at the scene.
