West Seattle, WA : Driver arrested for DUI after crashing into teen sledding on Wednesday, 6th February 2019

A teenage boy was recovering at Harborview Medical Center Tuesday after being hit by a car while sledding in West Seattle. The driver was arrested for DUI.
The 14-year-0ld boy was sledding down a hill Monday at 1 p.m. when he entered the intersection of 35th Avenue West and Southwest 110th Street. At the same time, a Ford Focus was traveling southbound in the area and crashed into the sledder.The driver, a 20-year-old man, tried to stop, but the car slid on the icy roadway and crashed into the sled, Seattle Police reported in a blotter post. The sledding teen suffered a head injury.
