Officials say a 34-year-old Greenville man has died after being struck by a motorist in Leland.

The Delta Democrat-Times reports the incident happened Sunday morning on U.S. Route 82.

Cpl. Tony Dunn with the Mississippi Highway Patrol says Kenyatta Black of Greenville was driving on the highway around 6 a.m. when she hit Gregory Davis, who was walking in the eastbound lane of traffic.

Dunn says Davis died at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident.

Dunn says Black, who wasn't injured, hasn't been charged at this point in the investigation.

The wreck remains under investigation.
