Ventura,CA : Victoria Avenue crash leaves three people injured in Ventura on August, Friday 18th 2017

Three people were transported to a local hospital with major injuries Friday after an early morning traffic accident in Ventura, the California Highway Patrol said.

The accident occurred after a northbound car crossed over the median and hit another vehicle traveling south on Victoria Avenue near Olivas Park Drive at about 7:40 a.m., CHP said.

The northbound car rolled over and off to the side of the road near Olivas Park Drive trapping at least one person. The southbound lanes were shut down just before 8 a.m. as the rescue personnel worked to free the person in the vehicle.

Traffic was temporarily diverted to Olivas Park. The lanes reopened about 8:45 a.m.and the scene was completely cleared by 10:25 a.m., CHP officials said.
