Dallas, OR : Pregnant woman injured in head-on Hwy 99W crash near Orrs Corner Road in Polk County on Monday, November 10, 2014

A pregnant woman was rushed to the hospital after a head-on crash on Highway 99W. The crash happened at 7:40 a.m. Monday near Orrs Corner Road in Polk County. On Wednesday, Oregon State Police released additional details. Investigators said Aguilar Dominguez, 18, of Cornelius, was driving a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon southbound on the highway in heavy fog when he attempted to pass another car. He drove into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a northbound 2007 Saturn Ion driven by Emily Beatley, 36, of Monmouth, police said. Beatley was taken in an ambulance to Salem Memorial Hospital. Police said she was 24 weeks pregnant and the unborn child did not survive the crash.
