Joplin, MO : One teen killed, four others injured in accident in McDonald County early Sunday morning, February 26, 2017
An Anderson teenager was killed and four others were injured — three of them seriously — in a single-vehicle accident early Sunday morning in McDonald County.
Lillian D. Wanders, 16, was a passenger in a westbound vehicle that ran off the road and struck a tree at 12:14 a.m. Sunday two miles east of Tiff City on Patterson Creek Road in McDonald County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. She was pronounced dead at the scene by McDonald County Coroner Tracy Dowd and her body was transported to Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson.
The three listed as seriously injured are the driver, Austin J. Owens, 18, and Allison Duckett, 16, both of Anderson, and Trenton J. Lovatt, 15, of Goodman, according to the patrol. Maya I. Dally, 15, of Anderson, received minor injuries. They injured were all transported to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
