DESOTO COUNTY, MS : DeSoto County corrections officer killed in crash on Sunday, 19th August 2018

A DeSoto County corrections officer was killed in a crash last week.

DeSoto County Sheriff's Department said Jamaurio Taplin died in a one-vehicle crash on Byhalia Road around 5:30.

The officer's vehicle hit a tree, killing him.
