Seattle, WA : Suspected Drug Dealer Strikes Woman and Infant in Hit and Run on Thursday night July 31st 2014
Seattle police have arrested the suspect in a hit-and-run crash that injured a mother and her one-year-old child.
It happened Thursday night near the intersection of Denny Way and Sixth Avenue North.
Police say officers were conducting an operation on Battery Street when a suspected drug dealer escaped arrest, got in a car, and took off.
Police say a suspected drug dealer was trying to get away when the white BMW he was driving a red light and stop sign, then hit several parked cars and jumped a curb.
A mother was pushing her one-year-old in a stroller on the sidewalk when the car swiped the stroller. Police say both mother and child were taken to Harborview Medical Center with minor injuries.
Witnesses saw the driver run from the scene. The suspect was arrested near Seattle Center just before 11:30 p.m.
