One person was killed and five others were seriously injured, including two young children, in a two vehicle crash at Highway 12 and Meeker County Road 14 shortly after 11:30 p.m. Friday.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol incident report, a 2014 Dodge Charger driven by Noelle A. Pridgen, 28, of Brandon, Fla., was headed southbound on County Road 14 when it drove through a stop sign and broadsided a 2007 Dodge Magnum being driven by Billy J. Crottier, 35, of Litchfield, Minn. Crottier was headed westbound on Highway 12.
The identity of the person killed, or which vehicle the person was in, has not been released.
With Billy Crottier in the Magnum were his 3-year-old daughter, Alexis Crottier, and 7-year-old son, Zachary Crottier. All three were seriously injured in the crash. Alexis Crottier was taken to Meeker County Hospital while Billy and Zachary Crottier were transported to HCMC in Minneapolis.
Pridgen and her passenger, Tamya D. Hill, 20, of Kittery, Maine, were also seriously injured and taken to HCMC.
The State Patrol report didn't say whether any of the injured were wearing a seat belt, but the airbags deployed in both the Charger and Magnum. No alcohol was detected in Billy Crottier's system and it is unknown whether alcohol was in Pridgen's system, according to the patrol.
